Field trips are amazing!

Our field trip was a wonderful trip! We drove two hours to get there and it was well worth it!

Our 2nd grade class had a wonderful experience here at the Orr Family Farm. There were many activities for the students and an educational lesson on honey bees. This is something I will definately recommend to other classes and we will certainly return in future years.

Amazing Party!

I just wanted to leave some positive feedback. We had my 4 year old son’s birthday party there about a month ago and I can’t express enough how truly wonderful it was! Everything went so smoothly.. Miss Meagan was the best! She was so great with all the kids and took care of EVERYTHING! (she even cut & served the cake). We all had such a great time & I overheard some of the kids saying that they wanted to have their party there, too! What an awesome place you have.

Come to Summer Camp

Come join us for our Annual Summer Camp! There are so many fun and exciting things to do. Learn how to ride and groom a pony. Learn how to make your own rope and use it just like the cowboys do. Make soap, milk a cow, make your own butter, mine for real jewels and catch your own fish. You will have a blast! Look at what some of the people from last year thought of our camp…

Katlynn said she loved everything and had a lot of fun. She couldn’t wait to go to bed every night so the next day of camp would be here.

Wonderful Experience! Our 2nd year & it’s always fantastic.

We are from Woodward and summer time would not be as much fun without Orr Family Farm. The memories that are made are extremely valuable.

Brittany and Orr Family Farm Staff,

Thank you for making Ashton’s Fourth Birthday so great. We had a really good time. It was nice to be able to experience and enjoy the day with her and not have to worry about taking care of everything and everyone. Brittany was awesome! She was so sweet to Ashton.

Pumpkin Pies/Pumpkin Butter

Orr Family Farm sells amazing Pumpkin Butter. The pumpkin butter is a great substitute for canned pumpkin for pumpkin pies. Only takes one jar of pumpkin butter and 2 eggs. Easiest recipe ever!! You can also make our amazing pumpkin dip. Great recipe for parties or appetizers. Pumpkin Butter is great even alone on warm biscuits.

Orr Family Farm vs Disney World

Noah Latham, age 5, after visiting Disney World this summer and Saturday at Orr Family Farm, told his dad, Eric Latham, that Orr Family Farm was a lot more fun! Mr. Latham told us that he sure would like to have known that beforehand as it would have saved him thousands of dollars!

Orr Family Farm Pumpkin Dip

16oz.       Cream Cheese
4 cups    Powder Sugar
1 jar        Orr Family Farm Pumpkin Butter

Mix all ingredients in large bowl
Refrigerate
Serve with Ginger Snaps
Enjoy!

P. S. For a nifty decorating idea, cut a Sugar Pie Pumpkin in half and clean out the inside, pour your dip inside and serve from the pumpkin!

What a Wonderful Party!

I just wanted you to know what a wonderful time we had at our daughter Hadley’s birthday party! I can’t say enough good things about our party guide, Becca! She had a great attitude, was super nice, and best of all, she kept us informed on what we were doing next. She was great with all the kids and knew all of their names in a matter of minutes! Loved her and loved the farm! I even overheard on of my daughter’s friends say that this was the most fun he’d had in all his life! Thanks again for a memorable party!!

Successful Teacher Day

OUR RECENT SUCCESSFUL FREE TEACHERS’ DAY SPECIAL

Our Teachers’ Free Morning was received by those who attended with such excitement and appreciation that we plan to make it an annual event. In fact, we had such a positive response in signing up for Fall Field Trips that we are planning to invite all the Elementary Principals and Superintendents for a Principal’s Free Morning Friday, August 7 from 8:30 am-1 pm.

We start off the day at 8:30 with registration, donuts and orange juice and finish it with a wonderful free lunch and sampling of the many flavors of the best Homemade Fudge you ever tasted! The immediate families are also invited. So if you know of a Principal or Superintendent-we may not get word to them all-let them know and have them email or call us for reservations.

Here is the schedule:

8:30 am: Registration, donuts and orange juice

9:00 am: Welcome by Dr. Glenn Orr, Founder, and outline of the morning

Then the following: Lesson on the Life of a Pumpkin which is what we teach this fall. Then a hayride around the farm where we see horses-we’re the largest horse training farm in Oklahoma with 240 stalls for horses-the pumpkin patch-a free pumpking this fall-and the start of the Corn Maze, dedicated to the military. Next is a train ride. It holds about 100 people and is the only train in the U.S. that looks, sounds and puffs like a steam engine, yet has the safety of a diesel. Then they go to the Animal Barn and pet the animals, washing their hands before and after.

Next they go to the Exercise Area where they can jump on the only two Giant Jumping Pillows in Oklahoma that are the rage in Australia and Europe. They can ride the pedal cars for ages 2 to 92! There are Hand Cars, Regulation Sand Volleyball and Horseshoes as well. Oh, and panning for rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Then there is the maze! What a fun time!
