–Fall Field Trips
Learning About Pumpkins
From September 29 through November 6, special pumpkin-themed field trips will be offered on Tuesdays through Fridays, 10:00am-2:00pm.
The lesson on the pumpkin will center around the life cycle of a pumpkin and for younger children we will include the story of the unforgettable character, Spookley, the Square Pumpkin. As the farm dealer for Spookley merchandise in central Oklahoma, the Farm will have books and DVDs for sale.
Students will go on a hayride around the farm. The hayride will stop at the pumpkin patch to let students pick their very own Sugar Pie pumpkins.
Next stop is the Animal Barn where children can pet the farm animals. Wilbur, the pot bellied pig, loves to have her back scratched. Lucille, a solid white ewe lamb, Sara and Billy, the goats, Thumper and his clan of bunnies, just love to be petted. (Hand-washing stations are provided.)
Also New for 2009, you can ride the pedal cars, hand cars and jump on the New Jumping Pillows during your field trip.
Guest may bring their own lunches to eat in the picnic area. We also have an open concession to purchase lunch. We will also be selling our delicious homemade fudge and kettle corn.
